POW/MIA families need you to write your Congressmen/women and Sentors and ask why they have remained silent while the Department of Defense the status of Prisoner of War (POW)for American military personnel. DoD Directive 1300.18 released on December 18, 2000 eliminated the Prisoner of War (POW) status for captured American Service Personnel, replacing it with the ambigious designation Missing/Captured or MIA-C.
